Born in Rocca d'Arce, Italy, the son of the late Bernardo and Maria (Santoro) Leone. Carlo grew up in Italy and emigrated to the United States in his 20's. He initially worked for Hickey Freeman in Rochester as a tailor. Eventually he made his way to Seneca Falls where he worked as a machinist for Gould's Pumps until retiring in 1997. On April 28, 1962 he married Maria Bellomo, and the couple shared a blessed union of over 59 years. Carl enjoyed gardening, playing scopa, watching Italian soccer games, his casino trips to Atlantic City, but above all else he loved his granddaughters, Bella and Nicolette.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; son, Bernie (Giovanna) Leone; daughter, Maria Leone; granddaughters Bella and Nicolette Leone; sisters Antionette Colafrancesco of France, Rocca (Nino) Testa and Maria Pia Di Mezza of Italy; sister-in-law, Virginia Leone; brother-in-law, Joseph Bellomo; family friend who was like a daughter, Sara Reynolds; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Carl is predeceased by his brother, Thomas Leone; sister, Teresa (Bernardo) Iacone; and brothers-in-law Bernardo Di Mezza and Rocco Colafrancesco.

I found this quote that best describes how we feel,
“ I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.” - Leo Buscaglia

We saddened that we haven’t been able to see him again in the last 2 years.

We will always remember you as a warm, friendly, charming individual but most of all on how much you loved Bella and Nicolette.
