Charles Turner Obituary
A Memorial service with Full Military Honors will be held on Friday (04-15-16) at 11 a.m. at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 6632 Rt. 96 A, Romulus.
In lieu of flowers, kindly consider contributions to the Warner Van Riper American Legion Post # 435, Waterloo, New York.
Charles was born in Cumberland, Maryland, on 01-21-40, the son of Samuel Paul and Anna Turner. He lived most of his life in the Seneca Falls area. He was married 54 years to Mabel Barrett Turner who passed away October 22, 2015, and she will be laid to rest along with Charles at Sampson. Charles was a Quality Assurance Inspector at Seneca Army Depot, retiring after many years. He served his country for six years in the Marine Corps, being discharged in 1964. Charles was a member of the American Legion Post # 435 in Waterloo.
He is survived by his sons Stuart B. and Rodney C. (Alida) Turner of Seneca Falls; brothers Bill Turner, Robert (Alice) Turner of Maryland and several other brothers and sisters. Also survived by three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Sanderson-Moore Funeral Home, Inc., 32 State St., Seneca Falls.
