Charles VanArsdale Obituary
WATERLOO - Charles W. VanArsdale. Jr., 87, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Geneva General Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at a date and time to be announced at Saint Mary's Church, Waterloo. Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
In keeping with Chuck's wishes, memorial contributions may be directed to Saint Mary's Church, 25 Center Street, Waterloo, N.Y. 13165.
Chuck was born on April 16, 1938, in Seneca Falls, N.Y., the son of the late Charles W. and Mary (Railly) VanArsdale. He was a 1957 graduate of Waterloo High School. Chuck worked as a machinist for Xerox in Webster, N.Y., where he was employed for many years until his retirement in 2000.
He is survived by his daughters, Susan and Sharon; and his son, Timothy VanArsdale; his sister, Barbara Deal; his brothers, John (Sharon), James (Helen), and Stephen VanArsdale; his brother-in-law, Bernard (Bonnie) Simbole; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Chuck was predeceased by his wife, Carol, in 2012, and by his son, Bobby

I knew the family years ago and spent a few summers swimming with Bobby in his Grandparents back yard. I have some great memories of Chuck and Carol as well.

Charlie had me working for him, on his farm mainly cutting firewood,. I really enjoyed working with him and Carol and enjoyed the stories of their son Bobby. I learned so much from my early experiences and I know he will be missed.
