Chester Sakowski Obituary
Family and friends are invited to call from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday at the Norton Funeral Home, 13081 West Church St. (Rt 31) in Savannah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Church, Grand Avenue in Savannah. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Clyde.
Donations in memory of Chester may be sent to the Savannah Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Squad.
Chester was a 30-year employee of New Process Gear, having retired in 1988. He enjoyed fishing, and was an avid golfer.
Chester is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dolores; his children; Theresa (Gary) King, Karen Lapp, Lori (Tom) Whitcomb, Chet (Tammy) Sakowski, Michael, Thomas, Timothy Sakowski, and Susan Sakowski (Mark Ratliff); 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Henry and Stanley; sister, Eleanor; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brother Edward, and sister Genevieve.
