Christopher Carroll Obituary
There will be no prior calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday (January 15) at St. Stephen's Church, 48 Pulteney St., Geneva. Inurnment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Columbarium.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852 or to the American Lung Foundation 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601.
Chris was born in Geneva and resided here for many years, before moving to Florida and recently to Canandaigua. He was the son of Frances Buck Carroll and the late John F. Carroll Jr.
He was a graduate of Geneva High School and received his bachelor degree from the University of Norte Dame. He first worked for the Burrall Corporation in Rochester and then joined his father in the Insurance business, in Geneva, working for Mass Mutual Insurance Co. He was a four letterman while at Geneva High School, playing basketball, golf and cross country. He was an avid golfer, playing in many golf tournaments in the upstate area, including the Elmira Best ball, Corning best ball, Ithaca Best ball and was a five time Geneva City Golf Champion. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and a former member of the Nester Hose Co. of the Geneva Fire Department.
Chris was a true friend to anyone and he was a kind and caring person.
He is survived by his mother, Francey Carroll of Seneca Castle; his sister, Tracey (Kevin) Bradley of Seneca Castle; his brothers, Jim Carroll of Canandaigua and John Carroll III of Geneva; is great-aunt and god mother, Helen McCormick; and his special aunt and uncle Mary Ellen and Bill Coffey; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

To the Carroll family I am so sad to hear of Christophers passing. I graduated with Chris and he was a good friend in school and outside of school. I have so many fond and funny memories of him. I remember him always with a smile on his face and he could make you smile if you were feeling down. My fondest memory was him doing Donald Duck how he would me make me laugh. I am so sorry for your loss and know he will be missed by you all. R.I.P. Chris
