Cosmo Iannopollo Obituary
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday (August 5) at the Palmisano Funeral Home, Inc., 28 Genesee St. Geneva. The American Legion Post 435 and V.F.W. Post 6433 will meet at the funeral home at 7 p.m. for military honors. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday (August 6) at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Rd. North, Rochester, 14609.
Cosmo was born on December 17, 1931, in Geneva, a son of the late Rocco and Antoinette (Furfaro) Iannopollo. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954. Cosmo worked as an Assembler at Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls for 26 years. He enjoyed bowling, gardening and cooking. Cosmo was a member of the American Legion Post 366 in Seneca Falls and a past member of the Sons of Italy Lodge 2397.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (DiSanto) Iannopollo of Lyons; daughters, Liz (Todd) Bailey of Geneva, Vicki (Ted) Grahame of California and Deena (Steve) Boyer of Lyons; sons, Rick (Hillary) Iannopollo of Geneva, Gary Iannopollo of Geneva, Rocco Iannopollo of Rochester, Michael (Lori) Iannopollo of Albany, Derrick Ochs of Clyde and Joshua Ochs of Geneva; brother, Francis Iannapollo of Buffalo; sisters, Mary Zeoli and Pauline Davoli, both of Geneva; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Cosmo was predeceased by his sister, Theresa "Terry" Avino.
