Dale Gibbs Obituary

WATERLOO - Dale E. Gibbs, 57, passed away Friday, Jan. 22, 2010.
A celebration of Dale's life was held with a visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the Schoedinger-Norris Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio, where the funeral service was at 10 a.m., Jan. 27. The Rev. Robert R. Tolar Jr. officiating. Interment was in Concord Cemetery.
Contributions in Dale's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Dale was born Oct. 5, 1952, in Waterloo. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Grove City. Dale worked in the field of information technology as a software developer. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his strength of character and his words of wisdom.
Dale is survived by his wife of 33 years, Phyllis (Dulk) Gibbs; father, Kenneth (Julia) Gibbs; sons, David and Jonathan Gibbs; brothers, Brent (Carol), Stanley, Richard and Gary Gibbs; sisters, Jean Gibbs and Joanne Alvino.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Georgia (Thomas) Gibbs.

What a sad loss to his family and friends. I fondly remember my Sterling history with this funny, genuine, helpful man.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. May y'all be comforted by the fond memories and the good times you shared. He was a terrific guy and will always be remembered for his honesty and humor. I am thankful I had the opportunity to work and receive some of his wisdom at Sterling.
