Daniel Farrands Obituary
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday (November 1) at the R.A. Patrick Funeral Home, 26 West Main Street, Clifton Springs.
A Celebration of Dan's life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday (November 2) at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
Dan was born September 17, 1965 in Patchogue, N.Y., the son of Richard and Caroline Farrands. He was a technology teacher for 25 years. Most recently at the Phelps – Clifton Springs Central School District. Dan had an amazing way of using love and humor to reach his students. He was a craftsman and could build or fix anything. One of Dan's hobbies was raising and racing pigeons. Dan has an amazing humor and was very kind hearted. He was a giving man that was extremely generous, never looking for recognition. But most important to Dan, was his family. He and his brothers shared more than a family bond, they were best friends. Dan will be sadly missed by all.
Dan is survived by his son, Arthur Farrands; mother, Caroline Farrands; siblings, Richard (Sandy) Farrands Jr., Scott (Denise) Farrands, William Farrands and Dana (Christopher) Boshnack; many nieces and nephews.
Dan is predeceased by his father, Richard Farrands Sr.

Danny was my best friend before he moved from Patchogue. I think of those days on occasion ever since then.

Dan was a gentle giant with a heart of gold...always pleasant, helpful and thoughtful. My heart breaks for his son, brothers and Dana. My life is better for knowing Dan.
