Daniel McQuillan Obituary
Dan was born in Geneva on February 8, 1957, the son of the late John and Marcy (DeWitt) McQuillan. He graduated from DeSales High School, class of 1975. Dan began his career as a technician with Konen Office Equipment and later with C & M Appliance. Dan was the owner of Sea Change Builders and was very well respected for his carpentry talents. He was always willing to help family members and friends with renovation projects, often after their attempts to DIY had gone awry. Those that knew him best will remember his generosity, kindness, and love. Dan loved being on or near the water, especially if he had a fishing pole in hand. When he was no longer able to get out on his boat, he found solitude sitting creekside with a fire in his backyard.
He is survived by his siblings; Mike McQuillan of Spring Hill, Fla., Hugh (Megan) McQuillan of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, Anne (John) Cunningham of Enfield, Conn. and Tim McQuillan of Baltimore, Md., nieces and nephews; Katie, Lauren, Jenna, Joey, Adam, Kyle, Maddy, Devon and Abbey, great-nieces and nephews; Kaden, Aria, Mya, Elliot, Carter and Aiden. Many cousins and friends. Dan was predeceased by his parents; John and Marcy McQuillan.
Family and friends may call on Saturday (Dec.7) from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home, 45 High St., Geneva. A prayer service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Thomas P. Mull will officiate.
