David Kesel Obituary

Clifton Springs - David Kesel, age 82, of Crane Street, passed away on Wednesday (August 13, 2014) at the House of John.
Friends may call Monday (August 18) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Patrick Funeral Home, 26 West Main Street, Clifton Springs. Services will immediately follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery with full military honors.
Friends may contribute to the House of John or the Clifton Springs Fire Dept. in David's memory.
David was born October 1, 1931, in Clifton Springs, the son of the late Harry and Leanora Kesel. He was an Army Korean War vet and served in the United States Military for over 35 years. David was a member of the Phelps American Legion and a 50 year member of the Clifton Springs Fire Department. David was a fixture in Clifton Springs, spending his entire life there. He was formerly employed as meat manager for Topps in Brighton. David enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting coins. Most important to David was spending time with family and friends.
David is survived by his sons, John (Bonnie) Kesel of Manchester and David (Jeaninne) Kesel of Virginia; sister, Betty Palermo of Newark; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife, Virginia; brothers, Bobby, Emerson and Bill; sister, Esther.

Your Dad was a GREAT Guy! Always a joke, some "Smart" comment or a funny story. He was responsible for "Lots of laughs" at Tops. We will miss him everyday...
