Dennis Fenner Obituary
Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., on Friday, (May 16, 2014) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, (May 17, 2014) in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to Pathway Home, P. O. Box 516, Seneca Falls, NY 13148, or to Friends at Strong/Transplant Fund, ATTN Melanie Oldfield, 601 Elmwood Ave. Box 660, Rochester, NY 14642.
Dennis was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Francis (Sunshine) and Louise Palmer Fenner. He was a graduate of Geneva High School class of 1968 and was a member of the Appleknockers Drum and Bugle Corps from 1962-1874 where he played the mellophone and remained very involved with drum corps world attending many, many shows since then. He remained lifelong friends of many previous members and he enjoyed music of all kinds his entire life. He also had a great love for Syracuse Basketball. He was employed for ITT Goulds for 34 years as an engineering assistant.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; his daughters, Caitlyn and Marla; grandchildren, Landon and Gianna; sister, Debra (Bill) Maher; niece, Diane; nephews, William (BJ) and Shannon Maher; grand nephews Zachary Maher, Zachary Sheridan, and Mason Maher; many aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and friends; many in-laws including his mother-in-law, Georgia McLane.
The family would like to thank, Judy Robinson for all of her help and support during this difficult time. Also many thanks and appreciation to Dr. Platzer and staff, Dr. Avanzato, GGH and Staff and Strong Memorial Hospital for their outstanding care and support to Dennie and family.

I grew up with Dennie, attended the same high school and marched in the Appleknockers together for 11 years. We stayed in touch over all of these years. Dennie's family would visit Vermont or we would go to Geneva to see Dennie. The last 5 or 6 years Dennie would stay with us for a week every summer. He was my closest friend and will be missed by our whole family. Dennie is now with Sunshine, Louise and Rocky. RIP

RIP Dennie! If you see someone by the name "Tut" that's my dad. Tell him I said "hi" and miss him. You can share some stories since you both worked at Goulds.
To Dennie's family - my deepest sympathy in your loss. When I came to R&D 20 years ago Dennie was one of the first lab techs I met. He always spoke when I'd go out in the Lab. He'll be sadly missed. MJ
