Dennis Mahoney Obituary
Dennis was born in 1944, the son of the late William Mahoney and Margaret (Bolger) Mahoney. Dennis was a graduate of De Sales High School in Geneva and then served as a Corpsman in the United States Navy. Following his tour of duty, he worked as a machinist for the American Can Company in Geneva and as a Security Officer for the United States Army in Romulus, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday (October 8) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home, Geneva. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pre-Emption Road Geneva.
Dennis was a man of faith and enjoyed golf, fishing and family events. He was active in the fire department, ambulance corps, and the NAACP during his life. Dennis was quick with wit and the ability to put a smile on someone's face or help those in need.
He is survived by his four sons Dennis Jr. of Rochester, John (Nicole) of Canandaigua, Matthew (Erin) of Phelps and Kyle (Kristin) of Clifton Springs; his brother, Terrance of Clifton Springs; 11 grandchildren Maximus, Giulia, Morgan, Maeve, Margaux, Marley, Kaleb, Nathan, Maeghan, Bailey and Kate Mahoney; two nieces and a nephew.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Kelly; and his brothers Patrick, Michael and Jeremiah.
