E. Charles Skinner Obituary

AUBURN - E. Charles "Chuck" Skinner, 65, the husband of Jenny Alongi Skinner of Auburn, died Sunday (June 3, 2012) in the Syracuse Veterans Hospital.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, in the funeral home, 1778 Clark Street Road, Auburn.
Friends are invited to join the family for services to be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Cheche Funeral Home Inc. Burial with full Military Honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
A native of Waterloo, NY, he had been retired from ITT/Goulds Pumps after 33 years of service. For the last 10 years, he owned and operated his own lawn care service. Chuck was a Veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the United States Air Force. H was a member of the Waterloo American Legion, the Finger Lakes Conservation Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening. Chuck loved to make his own wine and took pleasure distributing it to his many friends.
Chuck was a very kind and gentle man that would always greet you with a smile.
In addition to his loving wife Jenny, he is survived by one son, Charles E. Skinner and his wife Nancy of Windsor, NY; two grandchildren, Nathan and Ashley; two brothers-in-law, James Alongi and his wife Jackie of Fla, and Joseph Alongi and his wife Emily of Auburn; several aunts and an uncle; nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents Richard S. and Fern E. Skinner, Chuck was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Skinner.
