Most of my memories of my Uncle Ed involve holiday meals at my Grandparents house. Although he didn´t talk much, he was always there, and very much "family." One time, he took me upstairs to his old bedroom. He pulled a bin of comic books out from the closet, and gave them to me. Most of them are from the 60´s. I look forward to sitting in the garage, and going through the bin of comics with my children! Thanks Uncle Ed and rest in peace.

We had 2 sets of tracks in our backyard in Seneca Falls. The caboose tenders used to throw candy to us every day. Behind the house on Castle Rd. In Geneva, we used to go "up the tracks" - to Devil´s Hill, 5th bridge, and beyond. Part of the allure was feeling the rumble and power of passing trains. Ed carried this with him his entire life.

Eddie was a hardworking, dependable, generous man of principle. He didn´t all say too much, but he never missed much either. He was a keen observer of people and his surroundings as evident by his wry sense of humor. Eddie was one of the genuine good guys.

There is the family you are born to, and then there is the family you make. Ed was part of my family. He is the person who introduced me to my husband! It was Summer 1979, and I had returned to Geneva. He and Tim (who had also returned to Geneva) were at Cosie's when my friend, Donna, and I stopped in. We walked over to say hello, and a short time later Tim and I started dating. Even though Tim and I moved around some, we always stayed in touch with Ed and Deb. I will always remember his smile, his strength of character. So glad we were able to spend time with him...many fond memories. He is greatly missed.
