Estelle W. Preston

GENEVA - Estelle W. Preston, 89, of Geneva, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday (May 23, 2010) in her home, four days shy of her 90th birthday.
Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday (May 26) at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church. Burial will be in Gorham Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her name, may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Mercy High School, Blossom Rd., Rochester, 14600.
Estelle was born in Rochester and has been a resident of Geneva for many years. She was a graduate of Mercy High School in Rochester and of the Rochester State Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered Nurse for many years at Geneva General Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was a wonderful baker and seamstress.
She is survived by her four children, Donna Smith of Victor, Roger Preston Jr. of Fairport; Roberta (William) Hirliman of Horseheads and Barbara Preston of New Simerna Beach, Fla.; her sister, Helen Fuller of Geneva; six grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, Andrew Smith, Chad Preston, Kyle Preston, Megan Paige Dordoni and Ryan Hirliman; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roger Preston Sr., who died in 2006.
Estelle spent many years surrounded by her wonderful and caring neighbors.
