Frances Marr Obituary
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Donations in memory of Frances may be made to St. Patrick's Church (parish office), 35 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165.
Nanny was born in Manchester, N.Y., the daughter of the late Daniel and Jenny (Wilson) Wolcott. She moved to Seneca Falls when she was united in marriage, to the late Dennis Marr. She was a long-time member at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca Falls. Nanny always enjoyed a good game of cards, whether it was solitaire or euchre, it didn't matter as long as there were cards involved. Over her long life, one thing that remained constant, was her love of family and spending as much time as she could with them.
Nanny is survived by her daughter, Rose (Alan) Rathbone; daughter-in-law, Lena Marr; grandchildren, Donna (Thomas) Anastasio, Amy (Michael) Wright, Dennis (Brenda) Bennett, Dennis (Lisa) Marr, and Dionne (Wilbur) Holden; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Kathy and Sherral.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dennis Marr Sr.; children, Dennis Marr Jr. and Anita (Kenneth) Bennett; grandchildren, Tammy Proper Rathbone and Jeremiah Rathbone.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to the dedicated staff at Seneca Nursing Home, who took such great care of Nanny while she was there.

We have warm memories of coming to your camp on our boat (Emile and Mary Gerard). Such fun sleeping on the boat and playing with our cousins Dolly and brother. Aunt Francis was the last of our wonderful Aunts, uncles, grandparents and great grandparents. Makes me sad every time I think of it.

My mother was a cousin of Frances. I remember her as being very sweet and kind and always smiling My mother, Madeline Marro De Maria loved her. I remember the girls, Rose and Anita and I think I remember that it was Rose who was called Dolly. Dolly was a little older than I and Frances used to pass on Dolly's clothes to us.
In the write up about Frances, I see that she remained true to her sweet, kind nature for 108 years.
