WATERLOO– Frederick "Cliff" Maus, 53, our beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and friend passed away April 15, 2018 at the Syracuse VA Hospital after a courageous battle with ALS.

Family and friends may call on Sunday (April 22) from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Schulz-Pusateri Funeral Home, 103 Maple Ct., Newark N.Y. A funeral service will be held Monday (April 23) at 10 a.m. at St. Francis and St. Clare Church (St. Mary's), 23 Center St, Waterloo, NY. Burial at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery to follow.

Donations may be made to Frederick Maus Voice of PALS endowed fund and mailed to The Upstate Foundation Inc., 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse NY 13210.

Cliff was born in Escondido, California. He served as a Military Policeman in the Army stationed at the Seneca Army Depot. Upon leaving the military, he joined the Seneca County Sheriff's Department. Cliff then concluded his law enforcement career as a Police Officer for the City of Canandaigua. After retiring from police work, he ran several successful businesses including FCM Productions and Entertainment which brought various entertainment acts to the Finger Lakes including Mark Wills, John Connley and Jason Nazzaro who sang the stylings of Frank Sinatra. After FCM Productions, Cliff ran a bus company, transporting entertainers across the Country. Once Cliff was diagnosed, he began raising money for ALS Research. While fighting the battle, he managed to put together a benefit fundraiser at Club 86 along with other fundraisers. Cliff raised over $6,000 to donate to Frederick Maus Voice of PALS for ALS research. Cliff also found time to run the Finger Lakes Barrel Racing Association. He enjoyed spending time working in his wood shed making wine corks, plaques, lamps and more for others as well as for sale to benefit ALS research. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Cliff is survived by his wife, Deb Maus; two daughters Stephanie and Gabreilla Maus; grandson, Cameron; mother; seven sisters; three brothers; mother-in-law; two brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
