George Hicks Obituary

LYONS/PHELPS – George C. Hicks, age 64, died on Wednesday (January 22, 2020) at Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic.

At the request of the family, funeral services will be private.

George was born May 17, 1955 in Geneva, N.Y. the son of the late Dennis and Mary Devereaux Hicks.

He is survived by brothers and sisters Dennis (Terri) Hicks of Stanley, Elaine (Dane) Hackley of Las Vegas, Jack (B.J.) Hicks of Phelps, Loretta (Mike) Horn of N.C., Marla (Joe) Sweeney of Phelps, Steve (Vicki) Hicks of Phelps; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; and step-father, Paul Steen.

Funeral arrangements have been made with the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps.

I can´t believe I didn´t know George passed away! Where have I been? George used to come to our house when we were kids. He was friends with my brother- Jimmy! Pete Bliven and George came to our house quite often!!! He was very handsome!! Sorry I missed his passing! Now all 3 can get back together. RIP

I met George when I was in high school, tho I was in Marla's class. He was a great guy and will be missed.

On the quiet side, so good looking, with a good sense of humor, a beautiful smile, and a sweet soul with just a hint of mischief. Dennis, you were friends with my oldest brother, Terry. Jack and BJ with my cousin, Beri Bennett. Praying for all of you, his family, and close friends.
