Gilbert VanNorman Obituary
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, (January 26), at Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller St. in Newark. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, (January 27).
Gilbert was born in Sodus, on March 3, 1969, the son of the late Gilbert and Martha Leddick VanNorman Jr. He was a graduate of N. Rose-Wolcott High school, Class of 1988. After graduation he enlisted in the US Army. He was a Supervisor at Creation Technologies. He loved watching football and was a huge Buffalo Bills Fan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, they were his world.
He is survived by his wife Tina Bramhall; step daughter Marissa (Nicholas) Durgan; stepsons Brett (Lori) Thompson and Jeremy (Alyssa) Kennedy; three grandchildren Hayden, Harper, and Chayse-Lyn; four sisters Valancy VanNorman, Rebecca VanNorman, Jessica (Scott Young) Myers, Kathleen Zavala; a brother Jonathon (Kathy) VanNorman; best friend Butch Lewis; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a sister Athena Chrisman
