Family and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 12) at the Baris Funeral Home, 87 W. Genesee St., Clyde. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 13) at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Roy Kiggins officiating. Glen was born Dec. 12, 1944, in Lyons, the son of the late Glen E. and Tiny DeFabio Lauster Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Clyde and on April 2, 1965, he married the former Linda Bennett. Glen had retired from Xerox with over 35 years of service. Glen served as a past trustee of the Clyde Village Board and he also had coached Vince Lombardi football in Clyde. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed football, baseball, bowling, tennis, camping and fishing. His real enjoyment came from spending time with his grandsons. Glen loved life and was a real "people person."
Surviving are his wife of over 44 years, Linda Lauster of Clyde; his daughters, Kathleen St. John of Clyde and Christine (Michael Layton) Lauster of Clyde; his grandsons, Andrew and Austin St. John and Aaren Layton; his sister, Ruth (Ronald) Sipes of Clyde; his brothers, Paul (Christine) Lauster of Clyde, Bruce (Michelle) Lauster of Clyde, Mark (Linda Nielsen) Lauster of Seneca Falls and Steve (Lori Winston) Lauster of Clyde; his former son-in-law, David St. John of Clyde; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, Glen was predeceased by his brother, Santo John Lauster, in 2009.

Friends and Family of Glen,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss, Glen was such a great friend and person to me through out my career at Xerox and in so many other places in my life. Glen was the first person at Xerox to make me feel welcome and will always be in my heart. When ever I ran into Glen outside of work he always made me smile and just really made my life better for knowing him. He was truly a great person and I will greatly miss him. My thoughts are with you at this time.

Linda and family,

Glen was always so friendly, caring and happy to see everyone he came into contact with. I remember him so well ever since our H.S. yrs. We always ran into him during Aug. 15th, Clyde's yrly. celebration. He'd ask about my husband, brother-in-law, our families. I'm so sorrowed, so sorry and am thinking of all of you. I've lost family and friends and I miss them terribly, too, so I understand the mixure of feelings. Our lives were blessed because of them and now they rest in peace with God. He lives on through and within you; his goodness shines through. If you need to talk ever, I'm not far away. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. I told my brother Bob who lives in Tonawanda, NY; he felt very bad and sad, too. He told me to tell you that he's thinking of all of you. God bless you, all.

Linda & family.......I was very saddened to hear of Glenny's passing. I truly cannot think of any words except to say that he was one of my (& Johns') favorite people in Clyde. Always friendly...always with a smile on his face. Linda...I wish I could be up there to give you a hug. We really do have to live each day, because you just never know. I'm sure the family & friends & all the good people in Clyde will be a great source of comfort for you. Please know that I and my kids (they all remember Glenny coming to Mia's with the grandkids!) are thinking of you all & hope the days ahead will grow peaceful for you. with warm regards....Beth Arnitz & family
