Hazel Bragg Obituary
Friends may call on Wednesday (May 24) from 4 p.m to 6 p.m at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. Private burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial donations be made to the Grace Baptist Church, 3142 Johnson Road, Geneva NY 14456.
Hazel was born on June 24, 1939 in Orleans, NY the daughter of the late Stephen and Irene Kerrick Goodman. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. Hazel was an avid supporter of Midlakes Athletics. She was a foster grandmother for the Waterloo School District. Most important to Hazel was her family.
Hazel is survived by her sons Stephen Bragg of Geneva, Philip (Melissa) Bragg of Waterloo, Timothy Bragg of Geneva; grandchildren, Nicolas (Jaryn) Abdallah of Tennessee, Amber Bragg of Rochester, Michael Bragg of Florida, Lucas (Eleanor) Bragg of England, Joseph (Felicia) Bragg of Rochester; great grandchildren, Asher, Elizabeth, Levi and Ari; sister in law, Rose Goodman and Celia (Toodie) Goodman; brother in law, Melvin Bragg; many nieces and nephews.
Hazel was predeceased by her husband Albert Bragg.

I extend my sincere condolences for your loss of your dear family member. I have fond memories of watching Hazel working with the children at Lafayette School to improve their reading skills. She was exceptionally patient with them. I was very fortunate to have seen Hazel at a basketball game in Penn Yan in March. It was a delightful experience because she held my hand and was genuinely happy to see me. And I certainly enjoyed seeing her again!
My prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. May your memories comfort you.
