"Jim" was the son of Howard J. & Elizabeth M. Smith (both deceased). He is survived by his wife of 42 years Mary E. Smith; and his two sons, Michael J. and Steven C. (Maggie) Smith. He is also survived by his siblings, Richard (Sonya), Robert (Kim) and Roger (Donna) Smith.
Rest in Peace Jim.

There will be a viewing on Saturday June 7, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Caballero Funeral Home 15011 W. Dixie Hwy. Miami, FL 33181

Dick,Roger and Bob and family. Growing up in Willard everyone knew you guys as well as your Dad and Mom. Those where the days my friends and they are dearly missed. A athelete and a good guy, Slippery Rock will alway bring to mind Jimmy when I hear it mentioned. Jim and I roomed together at MCC when he went back to school after the Slippery Rock accident. Wish I was closer so I could give all three of you brothers a big Texas Hug. Prayers for all.

Jimmy made a beautiful impact on my life as a neighbor, a classmate, and a friend. I have an abundance of memories and can often hear Jimmy's unique laugh in my head. He will never be forgotten.

Dear Mary, Michael,Steven, Dick,Bob,and Roger, So very sorry for the loss of husband,sons and brothers. I remember when his mom was pregnant for Jimmy and waiting in a chair under the big tree in his grandmothers' front yard . He was such a little devilish boy-- with a pet racoon that he would scare the neighbor girl with it--coming behind her hanging clothes on the line . Climbing in our cherry tree and stealing the cherries with his brothers. Oh the stories we could tell but we loved him and his family. With Our love, Carl and Gail Christensen xoxo
