Janet L. "Grandma" Reynolds

PENN YAN - Janet "Grandma" L. Reynolds, age 88, of Penn Yan, New York passed away Tuesday (February 7th, 2012) at The Homestead Nursing Home in Penn Yan.
Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday (February 11th) at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan. Her funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Marilyn Wood officiating.

Janet was born in Penn Yan, N.Y. on July 23rd, 1923, the daughter of the late Rufus and Edna (Mitstifer) Razey. She had worked for Michael Sterns, was the manager at the Peppermint Parlor, and a cook at the Dresden Elementary School. She enjoyed going to the Cardiac Rehab at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital and going on K-Ventures trips. In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Reynolds and her first husband, Mylette "Bob" Chambers; her son, Robert Noel Hinkal; daughter-in-law, Betty Hinkal; great grandson, Joshua Calahan; her brother and sister-in-law, William and Pauline Reynolds; her sister-in-law, Lucille and Kenneth Best; and brother, John Razey and brother-in-law, Wilbur Barryman.
Janet is survived by her children, Janet (James Multer) Kennedy, Mark (Kathy) Hinkal, Cheryl (Dale) Kennedy, Kurt Hinkal, and Jennie (Jeff) Mann; Sixteen Grandchildren; Twenty-one great grandchildren; Sister-in-laws, Virginia Razey, Carlotta Hinson, Leona Barryman; brother-in-law, Donald (Norma) Reynolds; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
