Janet Rutty Obituary
Born in Clyde N.Y. on December 6, 1934 to Clarence C. and Lizetta Brisbin Parkman, Janet was a graduate of Clyde High School and of Rochester Business Institute. She worked as the medical Secretary to Dr Dennis in Clyde upon her graduation.
She married David M Rutty in 1963 and they had three daughters. Most of her career was spent in the district office at Clyde-Savannah Central School.
Janet was very creative in the textile arts and was involved in the community in several capacities, including membership in Daughters of The American Revolution, secretary to her church, the Savannah Fire Department and Erie Park Press in Clyde. She remained a faithful follower of Jesus Christ throughout her life.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna (Bill) Robbins, Karen (Tim) Warren, Lisa (Tom) Palumbo; ten grandchildren, Rachael (Alex) Petersen, Reid (Lauren) Robbins, Ryan (Megan) Robbins, Rosanna (Harley) Roberson, David (Nicole) Warren, James (Lennae) Warren, Victoria (Jeffrey) Dawley, Christina (Mike) Klemens, Meghan (Tyler Bennett) Morrin, Evan Morrin; twenty-one great grandchildren, Joy, Sean, Ruth, Miriam, Phoebe, Peter, Jetsen, Jack, Rowan, Marianna, Isaiah, Zeke, Eva, Nathan, Ellianna, Zach, Josh, Andrew, Caleb, Nicholas and Katie; as well as 5 nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, sisters Helen Heit and Marion Parkman and brother Lynn Parkman.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Janet's name to a cause that was close to her heart: Voice of the Martyrs Bible Challenge in care of Bible Baptist Church of Sodus.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 6 at 2 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church of Sodus, Sodus NY. Interment will be at Butler-Savannah Cemetery. Arrangements by the Pusateri-Canolesio Funeral Home , Clyde. Visit : Legacy. com
