Rev. Janne Jones Christiansen

Penn Yan - Rev. Janne Jones Christiansen, age 70, died Saturday (January 12, 2013) surrounded by her loving family.
Friends may call Thursday (Jan. 17) from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home, 2583 E. Main St., Gorham, N.Y. On Saturday (Jan. 19) friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 19) at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads, N.Y., at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Yates County, 1216 Rte. 14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527; or to Heifer Project International, 1 World Ave., Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.
Janne was the daughter of the late Joseph Hibbard Lynch and Madelaine Martha Jones Lynch. She graduated in 1962 from Penn Yan Academy. In 1988, Janne graduated from Keuka College with her B.S. in Social Work. In 1996, she received her Master of Divinity degree from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, in Rochester, N.Y. Janne was the pastor at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Hall, N.Y. for five years.
Janne enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed living on Keuka Lake.
Janne is survived by five children, Audrey (Terry Johnson) Christiansen, Dave (Monique) Christiansen, Jr., Matthew Christiansen, Amy (Vince) Christiansen-Volland, Andrea (Joseph) Christiansen-Moose; and eight grandchildren, Brian Christensen and Mitchell Volland, Kailee Christiansen, Marc, Jenna and Devin Christiansen, and Liliana and Brayden Moose; one brother, Thomas (Margaret) Lynch; and several nieces and nephews.
