HUNTINGDON, Pa./SENECA FALLS - Jennifer M. Gilbert, 37, passed away following a recent illness, on Monday (October 25, 2021) at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pa.
A celebration of Jennifer's life for family and friends is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
Born October 7, 1984 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., she was the daughter of Dennis Bishop of Berwick, Pa. and Debra (Gladis) Larsen and step-father, Allen Larsen, of Seneca Falls, N.Y. She was united in marriage to Stephen C. Gilbert on August 18, 2007, in Seneca Falls, N.Y. Mr. Gilbert survives at their residence.
Jennifer was a 2003 graduate of Mynderse Academy Senior High School, Seneca Falls, N.Y. and received her associate's degree in Business Management from South University and subsequently received her bachelor's degree in Management from South University in 2013-2014.
During her working career, she was a CNA in various nursing homes and in home health care in New York and Pennsylvania. She was most currently employed as Assistant Director at Medical Billing Management Services, State College, Pa., where she has worked for the past five years.
Jennifer was an avid Backstreet Boys fan who cherished reading James Patterson books with her daughter, Theresa. She adored her cat, Cuddles, and her VW Bug. She will be remembered for her contagious smile, laugh, and her huge heart and willingness to do most anything for her family.
Mrs. Gilbert attended the Huntingdon Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
She was a proud member of the Backstreet Boys Fan Club and was a former member of the women's auxiliary to the Seneca Falls Fire Department.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two children, Theresa and Stephen Gilbert, both of Huntingdon, Pa.; seven brothers and sisters, Bradley Larsen and fiancée, Kirra Meckley, Zachery Larsen and wife, Medina, Joshua Larsen and wife, Tara, Justin Larsen, all of Seneca Falls, N.Y., Rebecca Mease and husband, Drew, of Alexandria, Pa., Carri Norris and husband, Adam, of Lock Haven, Pa., and Bill Bishop and wife, Mary, of Petersburg, Pa.; also surviving are four loving nephews, Hunter, Jackson, Bentley and Brayden; and many other family members.
