Joanne Holmes Obituary

GENEVA - Joanne Reese Holmes, 69, passed into the Arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday October 5, 2025 at Highland Hospital with her close friend "Sister-in-law" Connie Glover at her side. Family and friends may attend A celebration of her Life Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Latter Rain Harvest Church of God, 2987 Pre-Emption Street, Geneva, N.Y., with Pastor Pharoah Heard, Jr. officiating. A private burial will be at the family's convenience.

Joanne was born on Sept. 20, 1956 in Lyons, N.Y. and was a daughter of the late Joe Andrew and Ossie Mae (Jackson) Reese. She was the founder and secretary of the Latter Rain Harvest Church of God by Faith. Joanne started it in her basement. She remained the secretary.

She is survived by her 3 children Ursla Robinson, Desiree Holmes and Shakeem (Shanny) Holmes all of Geneva; siblings Steve (Rose) Reese, Jennifer Lynch, Andrew Reese and Michael Reese; grandchildren Tyasia, Faith, Serenity, Devine, Princess and Ivy.

Joanne was predeceased by her husband Bobby Holmes, Sr. and son Bobby Holmes, Jr.
