John A. Jackson

SENECA FALLS - John Jackson, 59, most recently of Seneca Falls, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Friday, January 30, 2026. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 97 West Bayard St., Seneca Falls. He will be laid to rest in St. Columbkille Cemetery.

For over 30 years, John has run Finger Lakes Chimney Sweeps. A trade he picked up several years ago and has continued on to help serve the Finger Lakes area. For John, his business was his way to leave his mark on the world, and his commitment to it and his customers was important to him. A man of true entrepreneurial spirit, John had recently been working on a side gig of selling olive oil under the name Corleone Olive Oil Company.

John was a very religious man who held a strong personal connection with his faith and Jesus Christ. He also had a great sense of humor and was known for his quick wit and joking personality. John enjoyed cooking, especially Italian food, that helped him feel connected to his Sicilian roots.

John is survived by his father, Donald Jackson; two daughters, Marissa AndersEn and Maria (fiancé, Nick Castillo) Campbell; grandsons, Izyk Hulbert and Isaiah Castillo; sister, Teresa Thompson; and extended family. He was predeceased by his mother, Genevieve Jackson.
