Joseph Coney Obituary
His calling hour services will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday (December 18) his funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Christ located at, 219 West Avenue in Newark, N.Y.
Joseph was born on September 23, 1981 in McComb, Miss. to Beverly Waterman and Joseph Perkins. He graduated from Lyons High School in 2001 and went on to work at Wal-Mart where he was honored as employee of the month. He later found a passion working with youth which landed him a job at the Lyons Bus Garage as a bus monitor. His passions were cooking, spending time with family and friends, listening to music and fishing.
He is survived by his mom, Beverly Watermen; dad, Joseph Perkins; son, Braydin Joseph Coney; daughter, Ava DeNeef; seven siblings Celestine Coney, Patrice Coney-Maxam, Latasha Coney-Cross, Sharetta Perkins, Joshua Coney, Vanessa Royster and Gloria Perkins; as well as his grandsons Amar'e and Jay'len Logins.

I will always remember jack for his encouragement during tough times growing up. Jack encouraged me to stay true to myself and to continue writing poems and songs that guided me through those tough times. He was passionate about his family and was a mentor in his own way. Rest in a better place. All love from the DeSain household!

I remember your laugh!! It was literally infectious, it would make anybody’s day! I remember your smile, so big so full of life!! Always cracking jokes, being the light of whatever room you’re in!!! That’s dance that you’ve had since I can remember, but mostly the way you loved to make the people around you happy! How you made who ever you where with feel like the most important person in the room. Your willingness to feed anybody at anytime!!! This hurts losing you brother, but even in death the same as you did in life you are creating togetherness, love and helping us to remember the importance of family!!!! Miss you so much. I wish I had more time to love you, but I know one day has to call all his angels home. Till we meet again!!!
