Joseph Patnesky Obituary

GENEVA - Joseph F. Patnesky, 84 passed away peacefully at his home on Monday September 15, 2025.

Family and friends may call on Sunday Sept. 21 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday Sept. 22 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Frances deSales Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas P. Mull will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to; Nester Hose Company 207 Genesee St. Geneva, N.Y. 14456 or the Geneva Firematics Committee P.O. Box 911 Geneva, N.Y. 14456.

Joe was born on September 28, 1940 in Canonsbury, PA the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (McNeil) Patnesky. Joe worked years at International Paper Company where he was a Supervisor and Union President. He left International Paper and started his own business, "Patnesky Contracting" until his retirement in 2008. He was also co-owner with his wife at Beverly's Uniform's & Lingerie, a business in Geneva. After retirement Joe and his wife, Peggy enjoyed traveling and spent winters in Zephyrhills, FL.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Peggy (Bell) Patnesky; and was blessed by three children; sons, Ronald (Deborah) Patnesky, Robert (Hope) Patnesky and daughter, Marlene (Thomas) Taylor; grandchildren, David (Katje) Taylor, Jennifer Brosius, Joseph (Stephanie) Patnesky, Michael (Raquel Rozell) Patnesky, Curtis Brosius, Amanda (Adam) Blowers, Steven Patnesky, Danielle (Aaron Smith) Patnesky; 9 great-grandchildren.

Joe was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy, step-father James Calabrese, half-sister Cheryl LaVoie.
