Kymberley Maslyn Obituary
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday (May 15) at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. It is requested that masks be worn inside the funeral home.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday (May 16) at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church 3360 Middle Cheshire Road Canandaigua, NY 14424.
Private burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Clifton Springs.
It is requested that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Lung Force American Lung Association National Direct Response PO Box 756, Osceola WI 54020-0756.
Kym was born on October 19, 1967 in Clifton Springs, N.Y., the daughter of Richard Hoven and Elaine Seager Canne. She was a graduate of Midlakes High School Class of 1985. She was an RN for the University of Rochester Heart and Vascular, Clifton Springs and Canandaigua offices.
Kym was the ultimate care taker not just in nursing but her everyday life. She always thought of others before herself. She loved life and being with family and friends. Her family was her world especially being "Ya-Ya" to her grandchildren.
Kym expressed her creativity through her gardening, reclaiming furniture and home remodeling.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Tim Maslyn of Phelps; two daughters, Lyndsey (Jarred) Saunders of New York and Elizabeth (Sean) Doud of Palmyra; grandson, Ayden Doud; grandaughter, Emerson Saunders; father, Richard Hoven of Waterloo; two sisters, Julie (Steve) Bellomo of Victor and Danielle (Ed) Krenzer of Phelps; stepfather,Alan (Anne) Canne of Hopewell; mother and father-in-law, Richard and Marcia Maslyn of Clifton Springs; brother-in-law, Matt (Holly) Maslyn of Clifton Springs; sisters-in-law, Amy (Chris) Fonda of Canandaigua and Chris Maslyn of Memphis, Tenn; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
She was predeceased by her mother, Elaine Canne.
