Marilyn Phillips Obituary
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the DeVaney – Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., Geneva, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Colin Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow in Bellona Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Ontario – Yates Hospice or to a charity of one's choice.
Marilyn was born on January 18, 1929 in Geneva, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late David Hill and Maizie Patchett Beattie. Marilyn was a legal secretary for 50 years at Gage and Gage Attorney at Law in Geneva, N.Y.
Marilyn is survived by her five children, Lynda Chaapel (Randy Gibeau), Judith, Sheryl, David (Jan) Phillips, and Dale (Mary) Phillips; two grandsons, Andrew (Melissa) Phillips and Christopher (Adrian) Phillips; six great-grandchildren, Savanah, Mason, Maddison, Maddox, Hunter, and Gavin; and her brother J. Richard Beattie (Janice Christensen).
She is predeceased by her husband, Richard D. Phillips; her son-in-law, Chester Chaapel; and her companion, George Nielson.
