A year may have gone by but her memory is still fresh and beautiful. Although I have many wonderful memories of Mickey one fun one often comes to mind. Mickey and Marvin lived next door to us for many years when I was growing up. They had a large yard and hired the services of a gardener (Clarence) but Mickey did the lawn mowing herself. She loved zooming around on that riding lawnmower and once explained that the reason she loved it so much was that no one (I think she meant the kids!) could bother her while she was mowing. I think she set the stage for Rob´s later motorbike course! I miss her. Even though I didn´t see much of her in later years she was an important person in my life. A fun upbeat mom, a supportive friend to my family when my father passed away, a hostess for my wedding shower, and a wonderful luncheon companion for many special summertime lunches. Truly a beautiful lady.

My deepest condolences to the Sands family.
Mickey was my dearest friend. There will never be another Mickey. She was loving, caring, kind, considerate, and generous. The many times we shared together will forever remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear that Mickey no longer graces our world. She was the kindest most gracious person I have ever met. I loved heheh embraced life and lived it to the fullest. I was lucky enough to be invited to lunch at her "new" lake house on many occasions when we celebrated Ruth´s birthdays. Her dedication to Ruth was so very touching. When I think of her I always smile and know that so many people are better for having known her. Rest In Peace Mickey.

She was one of the kindest woman I have ever met. It was a privilege to know her for many years. She was proud of me I learned to play mahjong; not so much bridge! My condolences to Richard, Rob and the entire Sands family.
