Mark Mallory Obituary

GLOVERSVILLE - Mark W. Mallory, 43, of Woodworth Lake Rd., passed away on Thursday (December 9, 2010) from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
The immediate family will receive family and friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 15) at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 N. Main St., Homer. Funeral Services will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a local animal shelter in Mark's memory.
He was born November 27, 1967 in Watertown, the first child of five children born to William C. and Marjorie A. Graham Mallory, formerly of Ovid and currently of Salem, Va. Mark proudly served in the Geneva National Guard during the summer before graduating from South Seneca Central High School in 1987.
He was currently employed as a sales associate at the Home Depot in Amsterdam and had been a stay-at-home dad prior, where he took great pride in raising his youngest daughter, Kristianna Rose Mallory.
Marks true pride and joy were his children and family but he also enjoyed ice fishing, bowling, volunteering his time as a P90X Personal Trainer and his Miami Dolphins. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, riding ATV and snake hunting with his son and nephews and had a love for animals.
In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his three children: Shannon Nicole and Troy Daniel Mallory of Rock Falls, Ill. and Kristianna Rose Mallory of Northville; a sister, Susan (Kevin) Wells of Roanoke, Va.; two brothers: Matthew Mallory and Glenn Mallory, both of Homer; a sister, Dawn Mallory of Jacksonville, N.C.; nieces and nephews: Josh, Cody, Samantha, Madalyn, Zachary, Kirstilyn, Ashley, Justin and a nephew due in February 2011; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Some lives go on forever in the hearts and lives they touch. Mark's choice was to be an organ donor. Someone, somewhere will actually have a life because of his gift. He is a true hero.
