Mary Lyman Obituary

NORTH ROSE– Mary Louise Lyman, 87, of North Rose, passed away October 30, 2023.

She was born in Conquest, daughter of the late Carl Mettler, and Agnus Merrill Mettler.

Prior to retirement she worked at Cadbury in quality control. She was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxillary # 881, past VP of the Rose Fire Department Auxiliary, a member of the Palmyra Eastern Stars, and a member of the Rose Grange.

She is predeceased by her husband, Herman "Bill" Lyman (2017); brothers, Kenneth Mettler, Paul Mettler, and William Mettler; sister, Lula Gouthery; sister-in-law, Alice Mettler.

She is survived by her three children, Wayne (Kristine) Lyman, Bonnie (Edwin) Jarvis, and William (Lorna) Lyman; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Bertha Mettler.

Calling hours will be Friday, (November 3), 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with a service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home in North Rose, burial to follow in Rose Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, for those wishing to make contributions in Mary's name they may do so to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, N.Y. 14489.
