I have never met Mike, but I've known him through the years as a generous donor to my cat rescue. I found out about his death today and had tears treaming down my face. I recall his notes to me with a check for my cat rescue and his words to me were always very kind and uplifting. I am so saddened to learn of his passing. We've lost a great feline friend.

Early memories there we are playing catch in the front yard on Patterson Road scolded for wearing down the grass. Of course he was always the Yankees in our simulated games ! Riding bikes in east Newark to DeJohn´s for baseball cards and penny candy, to little league games , and playing with the Marbletown and Patterson Rd neighbors. Trips to visit relatives in Canada finding a nearby park for more catch. Going our separate ways in high school and reconnecting thru softball and family get togethers. He was a good listener and friend with a sharp wit helping me to laugh through difficult times never one to let a good quip go unheard! He´ll always be my brother of course and I´ll miss him as a friend , mentor and a genuinely caring person.
I´m sure he´s in a good place and just hope he brought his baseball glove with him so we can " catch" up!

One of the most genuine and caring individuals that I´ve ever known. Great smile and sense of humor. You will be missed, my friend.

HI Sally,
This is Linda Hammer. I'm so very sorry to hear that Mike has passed. I always enjoyed when the two of you would come into Oliver's for your stash. Mike was a kind, thoughtful and funny guy. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. XO
