Michael J. Maybee

GENEVA/ROMULUS - Michael J. Maybee, 53, of 33 Grove St., Geneva, died Monday (Aug. 10, 2009) at the Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 13) at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday (Aug. 14) at the funeral home. The Rev. David Fraher, pastor of Seneca Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Ovid.
Mike was born May 20, 1956, in Ithaca, the son of James E. and Marjorie M. Ullman Maybee of Romulus. He was a 1974 graduate of Romulus High School. He served as constable in Tioga County in Pennsylvania; he also worked as an airport security officer for Homeland Security following 9/11. He was employed with Seneca Cayuga ARC; five years as production supervisor at Spectrum Industries and five years at The Knit.
He is survived by his significant other, Karen A. Pepson; six sons, Christopher Maybee of Albany, Ronald Pepson, Scott Pepson, Jason Pepson, Darryl Pepson and Brandon Maybee, all of Geneva; three daughters, Felicia Maybee, Deanna Maybee and Brooke Maybee, all of Geneva; five grandchildren; his parents; three sisters, Sandra (Bruce) Cooley, Linda (Ronald) Shafer and Brenda Consolie (Tony Lepki), all of Romulus; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
