Myrtle Thomas Obituary
Myrtle was born in Himrod, N.Y. on May 18, 1927, the daughter of the late, George and Edith (Orr) Scott. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a past member of the Penn Yan Moose Club. She enjoyed shopping and going on cruises, but most of all Myrtle loved to spend time with her family.
Myrtle is survived by her son, David L. (Mary) Thomas; grandchildren, Leon (Elaina) Thomas, Becky (Jimmy) Keen, and David (Gideon) Thomas; great grandchildren, Rennee (John) Salamendra, Katelynn (Patrick) Kerrick, Heather Gascon, Ryan Thomas, and Ava Thomas; two great great grandchildren, Sophia Salamendra and Kaysen Kerrick. Lots of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Myrtle was predeceased by her husband, Clinton Thomas; daughter, Roberta Thomas; son Clinton Thomas Jr; and her eight siblings.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, (February 17), 2024 at Townsend Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, N.Y. 14527. Her funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 1 p.m.

When we visited Gram Lamphier as children, she was known to us as "The Tickle Lady" and chase us around and tickle us. She was a regular whenever we´d visit.
