Neil Ferrara Obituary

SENECA FALLS - Neil J. Ferrara, 47, of E. Tyre Rd., Seneca Falls, died, Wednesday (May 4, 2011) in the loving arms of his wife.
Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home Inc., 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday (May 6). Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday (May 7) at the funeral home with Pastor Floyd Marsh, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
If desired, contributions may be made to Pathway Home, P.O. Box 516, Seneca Falls, NY 13148.
Neil was born in Waterloo, N.Y. on October 3, 1963 the son of Anillio and Geraldine Jones Ferrara. He was a life resident of Seneca Falls and had been employed by Seneca Falls Central Schools as a custodian. Neil was a past member and past fire chief of the Magee Fire Department. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed the dirt races and NASCAR.
He is survived by; his wife, Patricia Stubbs Ferrara of Seneca Falls whom he married on August 19, 1995; his mother, Geraldine Jones Ferrara of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; his granddaughter, whom he raised as his own, Barbara Ann (Michael S. Hendershot) Battaglia of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; eight additional grandchildren; one great-grandson "his baby boy," Ryan-Joshua James Ferrara; three sisters, Linda M. Ferrara of Waterloo, N.Y., Dawn L. Carroll of Seneca Falls, N.Y., and Bonnie L. (Ronald) Burlew of Canoga, N.Y.; three step-daughters, Christine Bott of Rochester, N.Y., Tracy (Mike) Abbott of Waterloo, N.Y., and Tammy (David) Scesny of Willard, N.Y.; his sisters-in-law, Donna Wilkes of Seneca Falls, N.Y., Bonnie L. (David) Pitts of Clyde, N.Y., Barbara (Rory) Kelley of Seneca Falls, N.Y., and Linda Agnello Ferrara of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; one brother-in-law, Grayson "Bud" (Linda) Stubbs Jr. of Union Springs, N.Y.
Neil was predeceased by his father, Anillio Ferrara; a brother, David Ferrara; his grandparents, James and Louise Jones; his brother-in-law, Rick Carroll; and his mother and father-in-law, Grayson and Margaret Stubbs Sr.
