Patrick Talomie Obituary

GENEVA - Patrick A. Talomie, 94, passed away Wednesday (Dec. 8, 2009) at Geneva General Hospital.
Family and friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday (Dec. 11) at the Palmisano Funeral Home Inc., 28 Genesee St., Geneva. A funeral service will be held immediately after visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Contributions in Pat's memory may be directed to the St. Mary's Cemetery Fund, c/o 130 Exchange St., Geneva 14456.
Pat was born April 9, 1915, in Geneva, the son of the late Natalie and Rose (Solea) Tolomo. He served his country during World War II. Afterward, Pat worked for 50 years as a carpenter for Local 187. He was an avid golfer, loved playing cards and enjoyed gardening. Pat was a member of Big Oak Golf Course, the Sons of Italy Lodge 2397, the Veterans of Foreign War Post 2670, the American Legion Winnek Post 396 and St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Bonita) Talomie; sons, Ronald (Kim) Talomie of Seneca Falls and Edward (Alice) Akens of Stanley; daughter, Gail (Laverne "Chuck") Lafler of Seneca Falls; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Peg (Guy) Torchinelli and Bernice Synder, both of Geneva; and several nieces and nephews.
Pat was predeceased by his brothers, Frank and Peter Talomie; and sisters, Rose Laganna and Florence Elliott.
