SENECA FALLS - Peter J. Hawker, 62, of Seneca Falls, N.Y. passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday September 25, 2024.

Peter was born March 18, 1962 in Seneca Falls to the late Allen W. Hawker Sr. and Rita (Giovannetti) Hawker. He was a proud member of the Seneca Falls Fire Department for many years, following in the footsteps of his late Uncle Paul Giovannetti of Auburn, N.Y. Peter worked construction most of his life and was a member of the Labors Union Local 435. Peter was a recent retiree from the Casella Waste Company. Peter was a motorcycle enthusiast, and loved to ride with his son Mason. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Peter's light-heartedness, boisterous personality and endless humor made him a very special friend to many people.

Peter is survived by his son, Mason A. Hawker; girlfriend, Lisa Kriegelstein; sister, Beatrice Ann (Joe) Nolan; brother, Allen W. Hawker Jr. (Carrie Faiola); nephews: Allen W. Hawker III, Joseph (Kelly) Nolan, Jake (Caitlyn) Nolan, and Jordan (Lindsey) Nolan.

Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased by his brother Michael F. Hawker; and nephew, Michael Hawker.

Friends and family may call at Sanderson-Moore Funeral Home, 32 State St. Seneca Falls, N.Y. on Friday (October 4) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the funeral home Saturday (October 5) at 10:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at St. Columbkille Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Seneca Falls SMS Lodge 95 Ovid St. Seneca Falls, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers we please ask that donations be made to the Seneca Falls Football Boosters or the Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes.
