Shawn E. Middlebrook

CLIFTON SPRINGS–Shawn E. Middlebrook was unexpectedly called home to be with his Dad, the late Norman C. Middlebrook , whom he greatly missed, on April 4, 2018.

Shawn's family invites you to honor him at a celebration and toast being held at Billsboro Winery, in Geneva N.Y. at 5 p.m. on Saturday (April 21). If planning to attend, please consider carpooling as parking is limited and, as always, shoes are optional. A gathering will follow at Shawn's favorite home town bistro, Brother's Still and Grill, in Clifton Springs, N.Y. To honor Shawn, plan to wear his favorite color, purple and be prepared to share your most treasured Shawn Middlebrook story.

Memorial contributions can be made to Shawn's funeral fund care of his sister Sheila Middlebrook.

Shawn seemingly jammed four lifetimes into the span of his short 50 years. He was the heart and front man of the band Misfit Karma for the last 20 years. While no stranger to mischief, Shawn's kind, sweet soul stole the hearts of those he met. Shawn had a sincere love for others, and would often collect "heaven points" by helping folks in any way he could. As many know, his willingness to help others often left complete strangers not only better off than before, but with a new best friend.

Born on April 6, 1967 in Rome N.Y., Shawn was adored by his mother, Patricia Russell Middlebrook; his brothers Rusty (Michelle Pierce) Middlebrook and Casey (Robyn Lannon) Middlebrook; his sister, Sheila Middlebrook (Scott Burkett); nieces Amber (Ian Benedict), Emily, Sarah, and Elliana; nephews Patrick, McKenna, Nolan, Braylan, and Jameson. Shawn is also dearly missed by his Kindred Canines, Oso and Zorro; and a cat whose name changed depending on the day. Shawn was loved by countless other family members and friends, who will miss him every day.
