Shirley Noble Obituary
Friends and family are invited to call on Friday (June 9) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main St., Sodus, N.Y. 14551. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at the funeral home. The burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to: Parkinson's Foundation, NYNJ 1000 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620
Shirley was born on May 15, 1935, in Utica, N.Y., the daughter of the late Francis and Evelyn (Lampman) French. She was a graduate of Clyde High School. Early in Shirley's career, she worked at New York DMV in Lyons, N.Y., secretary at Perfection Foods in Newark, N.Y. and then retiring in 1990 from the Newark Central School, Newark, N.Y. Shirley enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, gardening and spending time with family and the great outdoors.
She is survived by her children, Richard Noble, Donna (Peter) Falise and Ron (Fe) Noble; grandchildren, Jenna (Derek) Nickerson, Michael Noble, Megan (Trevor) Kenney, Dan Noble; great-grandchildren, Christian and Riley Kenney and Remington Nickerson; her brother, Jim (Neva) French of Webster, N.Y.; sister, Jeane Belair of Newark, N.Y.; nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Leonard E. in 2019; and her grandson, Matthew R. Noble in 2016.
