Stanley Warren Obituary

WOLCOTT - Stanley T. Warren, 74, passed away on Sunday (June 20, 2021) at Wayne County Nursing Home after a brief illness.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday (June 27) at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Cancer Society, 1120 S. Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14620 or to your local Food Bank in memory of Stanley.

Stanley was born the son of the late Stanley R. and Emma (Moore) Warren on Tuesday (December 17, 1946) in Corning, N.Y. Stanley graduated in 1965 from Corning-Painted Post West High School and then enlisted in the Marine Corps, serving his country from 1965 to 1971. After his military service, Stanley worked for Tyco SimplexGrinnell, retiring in 2010. Stanley enjoyed fishing, hunting, skeet, and trap shooting. He often participated in mountain men rendezvous and reenactments. Stanley also loved cooking and trying new foods. He kept a fruit and vegetable garden; but, he enjoyed cooking the food more than tending the garden.

Stanley will be remembered by his loving wife of 51 years, Joyce (Killam) Warren; daughters Stephanie Warren and Heather Warren; sisters Karen Gillis, Christina (David) Luce, Sandra (Al) Thomas and Tammie Warren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
