Stephan Reed Obituary

GENEVA - Stephan R. Reed, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital with his family at his side. In honoring Steve's wishes there was a private graveside burial with military honors at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Steve was born on Jan. 26, 1943 in Shelbyville, Indiana and was a son of the late Morris and Senaratta (Evans) Reed. He grew up in Freeport Indiana and graduated from Morristown High School in 1961. Steve entered the US Army in 1962. He was a Military Policeman stationed in Europe. He went on to work at The Chrysler Corporation Assemble Plant in Indianapolis for 15 and a half years. Steve moved to Geneva, N.Y. and worked for the VA Hospital in Canandaigua as a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant for over 20 yrs. Steve was passionate about his Christian faith and thought about others before himself. He was a kind and loving man to his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife Sharon (Haas) Reed; brother-in-law Robert Taddario; many nieces and nephew.

Steve is predeceased by his first wife Diane (Taddario) Reed and brother William Allen Reed.
