William Willower Obituary

ONEIDA/GENEVA - William J. Willower, 81, Boston Street, formerly of Geneva, passed away on Tuesday (February 9, 2021), in Oneida Healthcare, where he had been a patient for the past two days.

Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family, with burial in Geneva.

Born in Geneva, on August 25, 1939, he was the son of William and Elizabeth Hewsen Willower. A lifelong resident of the Geneva area, having moved to Oneida six weeks ago. Bill was a graduate of Geneva High School.

Prior to his retirement, with more than 38 years of service, Mr. Willower was employed with Acme Markets as the district manager.

Surviving are his former wife, Mary Ellen Wheeler Willower of Durhamville; his two daughters Patricia Willower of Durhamville and Amy (Paul) Jennings of Oneida; his son, Michael (Charlotte) Willower of Geneva; his three grandchildren Mary Margaret Willower, Nathaniel Jennings and Quinn Jennings; his sister, Elaine Leiburg of Fla.; and his brother, Robert Willower of Albany.

He was predeceased by a sister, Susan Urbano.
