Gary Smith Obituary
Born on December 10, 1937, in St. Paul, MN, Gary grew up in Forest Lake. He graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1955 and received his degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1960. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. His civilian career included service with NASA, the Department of the Navy and U.S. Space Command NORAD.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bernardine; daughter Valerie (Robert) Wiegman; grandsons Dylan and Jeremy; and siblings Robert L. Smith III, Bruce L.R. Smith and Marilee Lewis.
