Charles Gordon Obituary

Charles William Gordon (Chuck), age 53, of Cumming entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 2, 2016, from his home.
He is preceded in death by his son, Joshua Charles Gordon of Cumming; and his father, Charles Gordon of Rogers City, Mich.
Born June 9, 1962, Chuck lived in Rogers City, Mich., where he graduated from Rogers City High School in 1980. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich. He married Gretchen and together they moved to Cumming, in 1988. He was a dedicated employee of UPS for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and working in their yard, though he was most passionate about being a devoted and loving husband and father to his wife Gretchen of 30 years; their two sons, Chris and Josh; along with beloved pet, Murphy.
He is survived by his wife, Gretchen Ann Gordon; and son, Christopher Tyler Gordon both of Cumming; his mother, Margaret Gordon of Rogers City, Mich.; sister, Jennifer Root of Lansing, Mich.; sister, Gretchen Leppert (Ken); brother, Keith Gordon (Peg) all of Rogers City, Mich.; also survived by many loving family and friends.
The family extends special thanks to Atlanta Cancer Care and Astoria Hospice for their care and support during his illness.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 5, from 3-5 p.m., at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Fr. Jason Brooks, L.C will officiate a memorial mass at St. Brendan's Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 7, at noon.
In addition to flowers, the family will accept contributions made to ProstAware. For details go to www.Prostacare.org.
