Dr. Joseph Gregory Jr. Obituary

In Loving Memory of Dr. Joseph J. Gregory Jr., born Sept. 2, 1957, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2016.
Dr. Joe Gregory left a lasting impression on the lives of many people in his lifetime. As a devoted husband, loving father and a dedicated Chiropractor, he encouraged and inspired all to a healthy lifestyle. In remembrance of his transition, we reflect on the precious memories we have of him. He is deeply missed and we are grateful for the time we spent with such an inspirational man.
He was born in Detroit, Mich. Upon moving to Georgia, he received a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 1982, from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Joe dedicated his complete professional career of 35 years to the healing arts of Chiropractic in his community.
Joe was a passionate outdoorsman. He cherished his time hunting and fishing not only for the challenge, but for the powerful presence and calming peace of Gods' beautiful creation. As an avid gardener he looked forward to every spring, awaiting the task of sprouting seeds and reaping what he had sown.
In his professional career, he was very active in the Georgia Council of Chiropractic and served in many capacities on the Board of Directors for over 25 years. Joe was voted Chiropractor of the year in 2004. He was also a member of the International Chiropractic Association, Optimist Club and Toast Masters. In the last year he donated his time to SavetheHorses.org. He attended Unity North Atlanta Church in Marietta.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kim Bixby Gregory; sons, Jason (28), Jacob (27); sister, Sharon (Greg) Bringard of Oxford, Mich.; brothers, Dennis (Susan) Gregory of Sterling Heights, Mich., William (Cindy) Gregory of Woodstock; brother-in-law, Mark (Karen) Bixby of Roswell; as well as loving nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Jeanette (Gielniak) Gregory; and his brother, Raymond Gregory all of Michigan.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. The Family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 10 a.m. until noon and 5 p.m. until the hour of service.
