Duane Hunter Sr. Obituary
Duane Warren Hunter Sr., of Cumming, died Saturday March 19, 2022 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving and
devoted wife Anne of 59 years his 3 sons Gerry (Lisa), Eric (Michele), Duane Jr. (Andrea) and his 6 Grandchildren Meagan, Madison, Lauren, Trey, Samantha and Morgan. Duane moved to Georgia in 1976 and was a very successful businessman until he retired in 2003. Duane was also very involved in the Georgia Republican party serving on the Executive Committee for many years. Duane's lifelong passion was for singing. He was a long-time member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church choir, as well as The North Georgia Barbershop Chorus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Duane's honor to St Jude's Children Hospital. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Good Shepherd will live stream the funeral on their website. Condolences may be expressed at mcdonaldandson.com

Dear Anne and Family, I am so very sorry to learn of Duane's passing. I just found out today. Please be assured of my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. I have so many wonderful memories of our fun times together at COH. I always considered you dear friends who supported me through some harsh times. And my mother enjoyed your company as well. I'll never forget Duane getting up at mom's reception and singing her favorite song. Distance has kept us apart but you have never been out of my thoughts. Love to you.

I regret not seeing you at either North Georgia Barbershop Singers or at our elections. You, Anne and I have worked elections for many years. I'll surely miss you. Your beautiful baritone voice in Barbershop singing will be in my ears for many years. You are missed Duane. My love to Anne.
